I'll continue to post here, but I'm not sure if it will be gardening, or turned over to our household blog. Details to follow.

go to savegocco.com!

I love my Print Gocco... I can't believe the cruel world is turning against me....

japanese fans have enjoyed using "print gocco" for over 25 years. as such, interest in the system has run it's course in japan. outside japan, however, a ground swell of appreciation for the "print gocco" system has only just begun. those of us who've known gocco a short time are understandably saddened by riso's decision to discontinue manufacturing the "print gocco" system due to stagnant sales in their home market.

yes, the rumors you may have heard are true, gocco is "going out of print." but maybe it's not too late if we all work together to find a new home for gocco outside japan!

savegocco.com was created december 10, 2005 and hopes to be an easy-to-use starting point for all things gocco, equipping fans with simple gocco-friendly tools to help promote it's continuation. this site is not affiliated with gocco or it's current parent company, riso, in any way. we're just fans trying to keep it alive!

I am delusional

A few months back, I actually organized The Stash. No official inventory, but that's to come. Friends would stop by talking yarn, I could, without delay, pull out the yarn being discussed. I want to start a new project, viola! I know right where the needed yarn is lurking. Need DPNs the size of toothpicks? Got 'em.

I am Queen end-all-be-all of The Organized Stash.

Flash forward to this evening.

I decide I want a small project, something new, not too difficult. It's a toss up between Branching Out and Flora (both on Knitty). I opt for Flora as Branching Out is lace and might prove too heavy on the knitting side of the TV watching : knitting attention ratio. So tonight, with the pending deadline of 9PM (Grey's Anatomy Finale) I cannot find one specific stinkin' ball of Kid Silk Haze. This is the second small ball of yarn to go missing. The first being Koigu to finish that blasted Rock Star scarf. The Koigu didn't actually turn up in the organization process, and I think it may very well be in a suitcase as I started the scarf on a trip to Utah. I digress.

So where in the Freakin' H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks is the #$%ing KSH!!!? Why does small yarn wander? Are they off making Koigu-Kid Silk hybrid babies? That'd be nice, but now I am obsessed with finding the bright purply silk and mohair. How can I sit idle and just WATCH TV?!

Where IS IT!!??

Isn't it so darn cute?!

medium_1st_radish.jpg

Having never sucessfully grown a radish before, this is quite an eventful day for me! Tomatoes, no problem. Radishes? Never. Many attempts yet never a radish... until TODAY! A teeny-weeny baby radish. I don't even like radishes. I'm that stubborn. But isn't it cute!?

Johnny Depp comes shipped in a box too!

Thank you Secret Squirrel - Whadda Package! Let's see... Awesome Knitpicks yarns including some to dye with Kool-Aid too, a pretty necklace, spicy orange dark chocolate bar (yum!), Harry & David chocolate cherries, a pair of super hilarious socks, 2 fab knitting books, and a heart shaped box**...

medium_sp6-2.jpg
A heart shaped box of chocolates you ask? Oh, no, this is no mere run-of-the-mill heart shaped box. It's beautiful, velvety, and much to my surprise, Johnny Depp himself was lurking inside!
medium_sp6johnny.jpg
And Bubby truly enjoyed the giftwrap. Joy for all! Thank you SP!

Stash in quarantine

Attention. Achtung.

Bad Amy is out with the creeping crud. Please forgive, but you really don't want to see her stash in this condition.
